Application One: This is a dry, slow release fertilizer with pre-emergent herbicide. This product is applied in April or early May. It promotes plant growth, green-up, and prevents the germination of some weekds including crabgrass.
Application Two: A liquid application of fertilizer, organic Humi Source, iron, molasses, broadleaf weed control, and pre-emergent herbicide.
Application Three: This is a dry slow-release fertilizer that is applied from mid-June and mid-July. If needed, weeds will be spot-treated as well. However, keep in mind that broadleaf weeds are most difficult to kill in the heat of the summer. The most important thing to do is water your lawn regularly.
Application Four: This application is a liquid mix of fertilizer, organic Humi Source, iron, molasses, and broadleaf weed control. It is applied between mid-August and September.
Application Five: The end of season fertilizer that is high in potash to strengthen the grass plants root system for the winter months. It is applied in late September or in October as this is the only time that grass can lock in nutrients for the following year. Fall is also the best time to aerate your lawn – ask us about discounts for full-service customers.
Additional Lawn Care Services
Weekly Lawn Maintenance: This service includes spring and fall clean-up, weekly mowing and trimming. This is a monthly contract May 1st through November 1st.
Lawn Insect Control: Proper timing of treatment is important and this is determined by weather conditions and temperature. Please call for more information to control grubs, ants, fleas, and ticks.
Fungicide: Disease problems occur frequently in sod. This is mainly due to poor root structure and soil conditions. A fungicide can be applied at any time except during the heat of summer.
Gypsum/Lime: Both of these products add nutrients and minterals that standard fertiliser does not have. Gypsum aids in the recovery of dog spots and winter salt damage. Lime raises ph in soil and will aid in a greener lawn.
